Occupy Toronto is a peaceful protest that began on October 15, 2011 in Toronto, Ontario, near Bay Street in the Financial District of the downtown core. It is related to the ongoing Occupy Wall Street movement that began in New York City on September 17, 2011, also protesting against economic inequality, corporate greed, and the influence of corporations and lobbyists on government.
